Electrocardiogram

The electrocardiogram, one of the most basic and widely used heart tests, is crucial for the early detection of heart disease. At Hospital del Guadalentín, we perform it both on an appointment basis and for emergencies, 24 hours a day.

What is an Electrocardiogram?

An electrocardiogram is a non-invasive test that records the electrical activity of the heart. Through this procedure, we can identify various conditions such as arrhythmias, heart attacks, and other cardiac pathologies.

Electrocardiogram: Our Services

Although both are tests for the heart, they have significant differences. The electrocardiogram measures electrical activity, while the echocardiogram (also known as cardiac ultrasound) obtains images of the internal structures using sound waves.

Electrocardiograma durante el embarazo

The electrocardiogram allows us to monitor any potential changes in heart rhythm during pregnancy and is a safe test for both the mother and the baby.
